Internet of things (IoT) is disguised as an awesome concept, where you can have pretty cool embedded gadgets. But it also leads to useless crap, like smart lightbulbs, or a smart toilet. Imagine your smart fridge crashing, or sitting in the dark because of a firmware update on the lightbulb.
